XPS created a tool that has saved us so much time and effort. Cleaning the HSK clamp set on a vertical spindle took us on average a very frustrating 6 hours. All 7 fingers need to be pushed in and held in place at the same time. It is very difficult with so many failed attempts, dropped fingers, limited space, not enough hands, etc. On our first time using the kit, the process took only 20 minutes. This included taking our time to clean everything well, including the spindle cavity. This kit is absolutely essential for your maintenance team to regularly maintain the HSK clamp set.

We purchased the HSK Maintenance Kit from XPS several months ago. Tony and Andrew did a great job defining all the “little things” that make setting up spindle drawbars a tedious task and remedied all of them. It’s one thing to have the tools to make this procedure extremely quick and simple, but another to know every technician is setting up drawbars to the exact same dimension. This kit takes a lot of guesswork and accuracy issues off the playing field, creating less downtime, and more time for other tasks. A highly recommended set up tool in my opinion.

Recently, the company I work for purchased the XPS HSK clamp set maintenance tool set.

Rarely does a new tool come out that delivers and this is one. If you still have hair this will keep you from pulling out anymore after servicing spindles. This is fast and simple to use, and the added benefit, It’s far less strain on an old man’s back and knees. Like a saws-all or a Dremel tool, you might not need it everyday but when you do need it, it’s the greatest thing since the invention of pre-sliced cheese.

We purchased the XPS maintenance kit in 2024. It has more than surpassed our expectations in calibrating the spindles on our Rover and Skill Biesse machines. It’s accurate, simple and easy to use. I would highly recommend it.

This XPS tool is amazing for removing and cleaning the fingers and drawbar parts. The time it takes to remove and clean is dramatically reduced by 90 percent.

It's easy to use, it comes with all the tools you need to get the job done, there is a t-bar , needle nose, digital dial indicator that locks on magnetically, and a magnetic holder for the fingers, no more trying to put the fingers in one at a time the, holder allows you to install them all at the same time. It took me about 45 min to remove all the parts before I had this new kit and now, I get the job done in about 10-15 min. This is the best tool kit for the job.

The carrying case is very nice with good tool fitment.  The Kit has everything you need to quickly and easily service the HSK spindle tool gripper assembly.  The magnetic finger holder saves so much time; this tool pays for itself instantly.  I couldn’t imagine PMing these spindles without this kit.
